About Us
Building cricketing community in Port Kembla and the Illawarra since 1912.

A Cricket Club With Over 110 Years of History
Established in 1912, Port Kembla Cricket Club is one of the oldest and most respected cricket clubs in the Illawarra region. Based at the iconic King George V Oval in Port Kembla, our club has proudly represented the suburbs of Port Kembla, Warrawong, Cringila, Berkeley, and surrounding communities for generations. With deep roots in local sport and culture, we’ve built a proud legacy of inclusion, competition, and community spirit.

Player development pathways
Whether you're just starting out or returning after years away from the game, our club welcomes players from Port Kembla and neighbouring suburbs across the Illawarra region. We focus on creating a safe, fun, and supportive space where everyone feels like they belong.
Proudly Serving Port Kembla, Warrawong, Cringila, and Surrounds
We serve families and cricketers from across the 2505 postcode area and surrounding suburbs like Wollongong, Unanderra, and Berkeley. With a strong presence on and off the field, we participate in regional competitions, school partnerships, and community events that bring people together through cricket.
Hall of Fame, Premierships & Player Pathways
We’re proud of our club legends like Steve Nikitaras and Doug Barker, both recently inducted into the Cricket Illawarra Hall of Fame. Our women’s team—the Port Kembla Panthers—has gone undefeated in four consecutive seasons, bringing home back-to-back titles in the Friday Night Fraternity T20 Women’s Competition. Our junior teams continue to grow, and many players have progressed to Illawarra and NSW representative squads.
